Innovative Research Symposium Debuts at RecPlex, April 20

The annual expo of faculty-mentored student research projects returns this year with a record-breaking number of student presentations, and for the first time will be held in the RecPlex.

The Innovative Research Symposium is a day like no other at 国产色情片, as students from across academic disciplines present their research during live poster presentation sessions. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to join the excitement on Thursday, April 20, 2023 starting at 1 p.m. The Symposium marks a celebration of scholarly excellence at 国产色情片 and is an opportunity for the campus community to come together to learn about the fascinating and timely research conducted by 国产色情片 students as they explore topics that extend beyond the classroom. New this year: the Symposium will be held in the RecPlex during two afternoon sessions, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and from 3:30 to 5 p.m., and will host a record-breaking number of student presenters.

“The 2023 Innovative Research Symposium will be bigger and better than ever,” said associate vice provost for pedagogical innovation and effectiveness Jay Rozgonyi. “We look forward to having more student presentations, from across a far wider range of disciplines than we’ve ever had before. Moving the event to the larger RecPlex location proves what our faculty have always known: that engaging students in disciplinary research and allowing them to share their new ideas only sparks more creativity and engagement among their peers. I personally can’t wait to see what our students have to show us this year, and what it inspires others to do next year.”

Session I from 1 to 2:30 p.m. will feature research from students in the College of Arts & Sciences, Charles F. Dolan School of Business, School of Education and Human Development, and the School of Engineering. Session II from 3:30 to 5 p.m. will feature research from students in the Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing and Health Studies. The 2023 eBook will be available for download starting at 9 a.m. on April 20, to permit pre-browsing of the research projects that will be on display.

The Symposium is an excellent opportunity for underclassmen to learn about exciting research opportunities in their areas of interest. This year, the first 50 students to attend each session will receive a $5 Dunkin’ gift card. Students are also invited to stop by for free donuts while supplies last.Looking for more opportunities to learn about student research and engage in the arts on campus?
