Students Poised for Success: Career Readiness at ¹ú²úÉ«ÇéƬ Dolan

¹ú²úÉ«ÇéƬ Dolan's Career Development Center equips students for their future careers through a series of spring networking events.

At ¹ú²úÉ«ÇéƬ Dolan, career readiness skills are prioritized and critical for student success in the workplace. With 99% of Dolan students employed or enrolled in graduate school within 6 months (recent data from the Class of 2023), career readiness is a priority at ¹ú²úÉ«ÇéƬ Dolan that transcends upon commencement.

According to senior director of career development Sarah Bollinger, EdD, “The Dolan Career Development Center (DCDC) offers many programs throughout the year that empower students to create resources to market themselves and leverage their professional network for employment,” said Bollinger. 

To wrap up the spring semester, the DCDC hosted numerous events that leveraged alumni involvement, and unparalleled networking opportunities.

Stags in Marketing occurred on March 19.

This event offered students a valuable opportunity to connect with marketing professionals and alumni, engaging in discussions about essential career lessons. Over 25 alumni who are currently employed at Madison Square Garden, Fox Business Network, Mastercard, and more were in attendance.

Stags Ethics on the Road occurred on March 20 at PwC in Stamford, CT.

The event was initiated and organized by The Patrick Waide Center for Applied Ethics, at PwC in Stamford, CT. Led by Professor Joan Lee, and hosted by ¹ú²úÉ«ÇéƬ alumni at PwC, the program guided students through an easy-to-use decision model for ethical dilemmas in accounting.

Stags in Management occurred on April 11.

Students had the opportunity to interact with alumni and professionals in the management field and discuss their views on the key lessons necessary for career success. Discussions of resume building, interview skills, and more were covered at this event.

Stags on Wall Street occurred on April 16.

This event gave students the space to interact with alumni and professionals in securities and trading, private equity,  wealth management, asset management, and investment management. Students had the opportunity to discuss their views on the key lessons necessary for career success with industry experts. Employees from J.P. Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and more were in attendance.

Stags in Analytics occurred on April 23.

Professionals from Bank of America, IBM, Priceline, and Yale University gathered at this event to speak with students regarding their careers in business analytics. This event aided analytics students in preparing for career success in the field.
